Portimão is a current development location within the DARK BLUE ESTATES Carbon Valley vision. We are developing a connected concept for landscape, hospitality and regenerative living environments.

Isolated Suites · the current design brief
The revised DBE programme envisages 35 detached one-bedroom T1 accommodation units, each with approximately 60 m² of internal space. Their villa-like character and connection to the landscape are intended for longer stays. This is the current design brief; the older drawings in the dossier show an earlier scheme.

Outdoor living, shared stays
Each suite is intended to have approximately 40 m² of patio and terrace, with solar shading and a barbecue area. The design aims to frame views over the proposed golf landscape and towards the sea. Where technically and legally feasible, units may be connected in pairs to accommodate families or groups.

The Carbon Valley approach
DBE is exploring how the hospitality concept can connect with biobased materials, landscape restoration, water management, local energy and the LAB BAMBA food network. These are development ambitions. Applications and measurable performance will be developed and evidenced individually.

Planning phase and next steps
The dossier contains historical PIP documents and different design variants. The current planning position and required permissions will be confirmed before a definitive offer. The images document the supplied landscape and earlier plans; they do not show a completed resort or a finally approved 35-suite scheme.
